About
Unity Jam, in its second instalment after being successfully hosted in Langa in 2014, has expanded on the core idea of being an all inclusive festival attracting crowds from all walks of life through strategic Music Programming to now making it a truly inclusive affair by focusing more on Family and Lifestyle activations in combination with Music. The objective is to create a truly inclusive series of events accessible to everybody.

Festival Objectives:
  • Expand the initial concept of Unity Jam into a city wide event utilising existing private and public spaces using a one ticket for them all
  • To use existing infrastructure to reduce production costs and usual festival overheads
  • Create opportunities for Businesses, Residents, Associations, Local Service Providers, etc… to prosper and grow
  • Showcase that Muizenberg is a beautiful and safe place to enjoy a weekend and has much to offer for young and old
  • Share the caring nature Muizenberg residents have and experience the open nature of this municipality, both with Holiday makers and the surrounding natural environment
  • Embrace the transforming nature of City Festivals for the community and it’s economical/tourist advantages it creates
  • Let Muizenberg and it’s community host a great visitor experience, from easy access by train, M3 and M5 to it’s ample parking, and option to explore by foot
  • Create a festival concept blueprint that can be executed in any community around the world without major outside financial support by its own citizens
